DNA Pastry Unwrapped 2025: When Food Becomes More
Dublin’s pastry scene took a bold leap forward at DNA Pastry Unwrapped, a pioneering conference that redefined indulgence through sustainability, creativity, and collaboration. Organized by Odaios Foods and Co-Lab, the event brought together Ireland’s top pastry chefs, suppliers, and food innovators on 27th May to shape the future of dessert.
DNA Pastry Unwrapped didn’t just talk about sustainability, it practiced it. Partnering with shareclub, the event replaced single-use cups with reusable alternatives, achieving:
730 disposable cups saved (365 reusable cups used multiple times).
280kg of CO₂ emissions prevented, in just one day.
This small switch highlighted how collective action can make a big impact. As shareclub’s signage reminded attendees: “22,000 disposable cups are used in Ireland every hour.” Choosing reusables wasn’t just eco-friendly—it aligned perfectly with the event’s mission to elevate pastry without compromising the planet.
A heartfelt thanks to the organizers, speakers, and attendees for proving that pastry can be both progressive and delicious. Special recognition to shareclub for turning sustainability into a seamless experience.
The takeaway? The future of pastry isn’t just sweet, it’s smart, sustainable, and deeply collaborative.
