Too Good to Keep & shareclub: Zero-Waste Clothing Swap
On May 10th, 2025, something remarkable happened at 1 Windmill Lane, Dublin. Over 200 people, gathered not to shop, but to swap.
The Too Good to Keep Clothing Swap, organized in partnership with the Brazilian Women Support Association, wasn’t just another sustainability event. It was a vibrant celebration proving that conscious consumption can be joyful, inclusive, and transformative.
Unlike typical clothing swaps, this edition intentionally shattered demographic silos: mothers browsed alongside college students, men’s workwear found new homes with young professionals, and kids’ clothes circulated freely between families. "This is how you build real community," remarked one attendee, holding up a barely-worn winter coat traded for a designer dress.
The results spoke volumes, 200+ participants (a record turnout), 500kg of clothing diverted from landfills, and zero single-use waste thanks to sustainability-focused partnerships.
While clothes took center stage, another quiet revolution happened at the refreshment table:
✅ No disposable cup waste – a first for this event
✅ Seamless user experience – attendees simply returned cups for washing
✅ Tangible education – many swapped clothes and learned about circular systems
"Seeing the cup return station next to the clothing racks drove home how all sustainability is connected," noted a first-time swapper.
We are incredibly grateful to the Brazilian Women Support Association for their invaluable partnership. Your dedication to community, inclusivity, and sustainability helped create an event where everyone (mothers, students, professionals, and children), could come together to celebrate conscious consumption.
